FEE SCHEDULE
We offer different levels of physiotherapy services, with fees reflecting each clinicians experience and expertise.
Level 1: Pelvic Health Physiotherapist - provides comprehensive assessment and treatment for pelvic health conditions.
Level 2: Senior Pelvic Health Physiotherapist - provides expert care for complex cases and leads clinical practice within the team.
Pelvic and Women’s Health Physiotherapy Fees
Initial Pelvic Health Physiotherapy, Pregnancy, Postnatal (60 mins) - $210 / $245
Review Women's Health Physiotherapy (30 mins) - $130 / $140
Review Women's Health Physiotherapy (45 mins) - $170 / $185
Pessary fitting fee - $140 plus appointment. This covers the cost of your pessary and associated administration. Fitting appointments are 60 mins ($245 + $140).

No referral is required to see a physiotherapist at PhysioSista. You can book directly online or by contacting the clinic.
If you plan to claim a Medicare Team Care Arrangement, you will need a referral from your GP.

PhysioSista specialises in pelvic health and women’s physiotherapy across all life stages including pregnancy, postpartum and menopause.

We primarily focus on women’s pelvic health.
However, men may book for pre- or post-prostate surgery pelvic floor rehabilitation with Michelle. If additional bladder, bowel, or pain concerns are present, we may refer you to a specialist men’s health physiotherapist.
Men, women and gender neutral people can book appointments for any general physiotherapy conditions such as joint pain, back pain, pelvic girls pain and sporting or work related injuries.

Yes. Babies are always welcome at your appointment. Many of our clients attend with newborns and young babies. Our studio is upstairs, which is unable to accommodate prams. We do have a baby bouncer/rocker which you are welcome to use while at your appointment - please ask when you arrive.

Yes. Telehealth appointments are available for certain consultations including postnatal check-ins and early postpartum support. You are encouraged to transfer your booking to Telehealth if you’re unable to attend an appointment due to illness.

If your GP has created a Medicare Team Care Arrangement, you may receive a rebate of $61.80 per appointment.
Payment is made in full at the appointment and the rebate is processed to Medicare on the day.

Yes. Most physiotherapy services can be claimed through private health insurance, depending on your level of cover.

We require 24 hours notice for appointment cancellations or changes.
Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a cancellation fee.

Your first appointment is a comprehensive 60-minute assessment.
This usually includes:
• A detailed discussion about your symptoms and health history
• Assessment of posture, breathing and movement patterns
• Pelvic floor assessment (either external with ultrasound or internal if appropriate)
• Education about your condition
• A personalised treatment and rehabilitation plan
Your physiotherapist will explain everything clearly and ensure you feel comfortable throughout the process.

Yes. Our physiotherapists also treat some general musculoskeletal conditions, including:
• Lower back pain
• Pelvic girdle pain
• Pregnancy-related joint pain
For other injuries such as shoulder, knee, or ankle conditions we may recommend another clinic that specialises in those areas.

No. Physiotherapists cannot prescribe medication. However, we work closely with GPs and other healthcare providers if medication or further investigation is required.

Most women attend their postnatal check around 6 weeks after birth, often around the same time as their GP or obstetrician review.
However, you can attend earlier if you have concerns, particularly if you are experiencing:
• Bladder or bowel leakage
• Pelvic heaviness or prolapse symptoms
• Pelvic pain
• Difficulty activating your core or pelvic floor

A postnatal check typically includes:
• Pelvic floor assessment
• Abdominal and core assessment
• Screening for abdominal separation (diastasis recti)
• Guidance for returning to exercise
• Advice for lifting, feeding positions and daily activities
You will leave with a clear recovery and exercise plan tailored to your body.

Yes. We provide ultrasound therapy for breast conditions such as mastitis.

Yes. Pessary fittings are performed by Michelle, our senior pelvic health physiotherapist.

Usually no.
The first consultation is used to:
• Assess whether a pessary is appropriate
• Discuss different treatment options
• Review bladder, bowel and tissue health
If a pessary is suitable, a second appointment is booked for the fitting.

If you have been referred by another pelvic health physiotherapist, we may be able to book a fitting appointment directly once we receive their clinical handover.

Yes. All new clients must complete a pre-class assessment before joining group classes.
This ensures the exercises are appropriate for your body and helps reduce the risk of injury.

PhysioSista offers small-group classes designed specifically for women including:
• Pelvic floor strength classes
• Rehab and strength reformer classes
• Ready.Set.Gym postpartum training
• Teen strength classes
Classes are kept small to allow individual attention and personalised progressions.

Some classes may be eligible for private health insurance rebates depending on your fund and level of cover.
A pre-class assessment is required if you plan to claim.
